Fife Flyers are delighted to announce the format for the 2018/19 Pre-Season Schedule. Fife Flyers are delighted to announce the format for the 2018/19 Pre-Season Schedule.

The Flyers have been working with fellow EIHL side Manchester Storm, to secure the teams and dates for this year's pre-season campaign, which will include 4 different European teams visiting both Fife Ice Arena and Planet Ice Altrincham, in the inaugural 4 Nations Showcase! Flyers will head to Planet Ice Altrincham for the opening game of the 4 Nations Showcase on Wednesday 22nd August.

Then just 3 days later, Flyers will welcome top Danish Metal Ligaen sides Aalborg Pirates on Sat 25th August & Odense Bulldogs on Sun 26th August, to Fife Ice Arena.

Flyers will then welcome the Storm to Fife Ice Arena on Wednesday 29th August. On the weekend of Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd September, German DEL2 sides Eispiraten Crimmitschau & Tölzer Löwen will be visitors to Fife Ice Arena.

Fife Flyers are delighted to have collaborated with Manchester Storm to bring these teams to the UK and we hope that the fans will enjoy the pre-season campaign, prior to the Official 2018/19 EIHL Campaign getting underway.

A Fife Flyers Spokesperson had the following to say on the pre-season campaign “We are delighted to confirm our pre-season plans so early on in the summer off-season and we hope that the fans will enjoy the games and enjoy seeing the visiting teams at both Fife Ice Arena and Planet Ice Altrincham.”

“We are really pleased to invite more European teams over to the UK for the pre-season campaign. This is something we have done over the past few seasons and it has not only been fun for the fans, but it has also really helped gel the team and get the guys both settled and prepared for the season ahead.”

“We hope that the fans will enjoy the games and it will be a great opportunity for them to see the team in action before the official EIHL season gets underway.”

More details regarding ticket prices, seat options etc will be released in due course.

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) is a professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom formed in 2003. The league currently consists of 12 teams, with Braehead (SCO), Belfast (NIR), Cardiff (WAL), Coventry (ENG), Dundee (SCO), Edinburgh (SCO), Fife (SCO), Guildford (ENG), Manchester (ENG), Milton Keynes (ENG), Nottingham (ENG) and Sheffield (ENG).
