Fife Flyers vs Dundee Stars game preview

Doors Open 5:30pm, Face-off 7:30pm

This Friday night your 2017/18 Gardiner Conference champions the Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, host the Dundee Stars, the firs time both teams have met since Flyers clinched the conference title in dramatic fashion in Dundee last month thanks to Charlie Mosey's game tying goal with 16 seconds remaining in the third period..

With only 3 home regular season games left this season, Friday night is sure to be a busy game with Flyers looking to welcome back a number of players back from injury ahead of the 2017/18 PredictorBet play-offs

Flyers and Dundee have split this season's head to head so far this season with both teams recording 4 wins apiece, 3 regular season game wins and 1 challenge cup win each.

Dundee are currently in 10th place in the league standings, with the top 8 teams progessing to the PredictorBet play-offs, however Dundee are only 1 point out of the play-off hunt with games in hand over both Braehead Clan and Coventry Blaze who are also battling for a PredictorBet play-off place.

Speaking ahead of this Friday's Gardiner Conference game against the Dundee Stars, head coach Todd Dutiaume said "This Dundee Stars team are competing in a three way dog fight for the last play-off spot, they Dundee are hungry and on a bit of a roll, and have gone down to Nottingham and come away with a win this week.

"The last time we played them it was a bit of a crazy game, it had just about everything in it. We are expecting the rest of the games this season to be played at a high tempo."
