Fife Flyers vs Dundee Stars game preview

This Saturday the Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, welcome back the Dundee Stars to Fife Ice as the sides battle it out in their first league encounter of the season.

Omar Pacha's Dundee side travel to Kirkcaldy following a difficult midweek game in Sheffield which saw the Steelers romp to an 8-2 victory. Despite the midweek loss Dundee will still be bouyant following their 5-4 shootout win over Manchester Storm in Dundee last Saturday.

Dundee have made a number of roster changes since the 2 sides last met with Dundee bringing in former Flyers forward Justin Fox, experienced American forward Brian Hart and head coach Omar Pacha combining his coaching duties with playing.

Flyers go in to this weekend looking to return to winning ways having lost their last 2 games, 5-3 loss to the Cardiff Devils and a 4-2 loss to the Belfast Giants.

Flyers currently lead the league in penalty killing with a hugely impressive 90.2%, having allowed only 4 powerplay goals against on 41 occasions. Netminder Andy Iles also leads the league's starting netminders with with a 93.3% save percentage.
