PREVIEW | Fife Flyers vs Braehead Clan (15.10.2017)

This Sunday sees the Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, host Gardiner Conference rivals the Braehead Clan for the first time at Fife Ice Arena this season.

The Clan come to Fife Ice Arena for the first time under new head coach John Tripp after the Glasgow side parted ways with Ryan Finnerty at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Both sides met in the exposive pre-season Scottish Cup final back in September with Braehead coming out victorious on that occassion before the sides met in their first competitive match-up last Saturday as Flyers travelled to the Braehead Arena, which saw Flyers romp to a 7-1 victory thanks in part to a 4 goal performance from Evan Bloodoff.

Braehead come into the fixture with a point to prove following the 7-1 annihilation they suffered in their homecoming game last Saturday which was then followed up by a 3-2 Challenge Cup loss to Sheffield Steelers on Sunday.

Todd Dutiaume's side will be looking to get back to winning ways on home ice following a narrow 5-3 loss to the Guildford Flames last Sunday in the sides first meeting since 2005.
