Chad Smith in action against Edinburgh Capitals

Fife Flyers are delighted to confirm that local lad Chad Smith will be a permanent name on the Flyers roster for the remainder of the 2016/17 season and Smith is eager to help the Flyers make the Playoff Finals Weekend.

Forward Smith joins fellow local lads Jamie Wilson, Josh Scoon, Stephen Gunn, Thomas Muir, Chris Wands and Craig Douglas, who are all from Kirkcaldy, on the Flyers roster.

Smith has been training with the Flyers as well as playing with both Fife Falcons and Kirkcaldy Kestrels this season, but is now looking forward to finishing the season in a Flyers Jersey. Smith was also selected for the GB U18s squad earlier this year and will celebrate his 18th birthday at the game Vs Braehead Clan on Saturday.

Smith will be wearing #18 and had the following to say “I’ve enjoyed my time so far with the Flyers and I’m really looking forward to playing on the roster over the next few games. It’s a great achievement and I’m proud to call myself a Flyer.”

“I’ll be doing all that I can to help ensure we make the playoff finals weekend. We are looking forward to the next 2 games and seeing who we will face in the playoff ¼ finals.”

Chad will be part of the line up on Saturday when we face off against West Coast rivals Braehead Clan.

Tickets are selling fast for this game, so please book in advance to avoid missing out!
